What a week with our MenageriePosted by Vanessa Rea |
What a week we have had with our animals. On Monday we discovered that Gracie who had allegedly been spayed was pregnant: but given her history it was not going to good for her to go full term, so BAWA have decided to terminate her today poor thing ; Baby Kat had his "whotsits" off yesterday, and was walking around once he came round from the anaesthetic as if as drunk as a lord, poor lamb; then last night part of Ellie's ear dropped off , so I was getting the vet into see her today, When we woke up this morning Pebbles came home with the side of her head all swollen. By mid morning her whole head looked ready to explode and she could hardly see. The vet has treated her for a sting of undeterminable origin; but not from a snake otherwise it would have been fatal, Ellie is on antibiotics having caught something from one the street dogs; so on the way out to the car with the vet we encountered Daisy, the most likely suspect and carrier, so he jabbed her up too.
I also heard that Estola. Enzo's dog had swallowed a frog.......... gross! This made her eyes roll and her mouth froth as the hallucinogenic properties of the frog began to take effect. Needless to say she spent the rest of day sleeping between psychedelics trips of fantasy.
The good news is that Gracie will be coming home next Monday to recuperate. As its Molly's last day of the school term today at least she can be here to nurse maid them all for me next week. Phew...........................
