WWB Beta User Analysis (Or Tings and Pings I Learned and Tell On The Comp Win Trail) Part 1

As an entrant to the WikiWorldBook competition my job specifications were to test its functionality and flex. Being paid for my WWB output, as a writer, publisher and participant is something I have long desired. That association with survival assistance inevitably spurred thoughts and actions about how I and others use the internet. First gen blogger backslid, 'on commission', dress smart, early rise.

WWB had at that stage in development a 'Social Networks I'm On' field allowance for comprising Flickr, F**book, Bebo and Myspace. My fall-out with Flickr is probably linked to the reprecussions of the Yahoo! takeover, filling the headspace of staff with corporate emergency strata. Social networking I beginning to ponder, emphasised, could this be a bad thing? Geography tutors dont holler the world is round to any student let alone an A student. Of course I have a tendency to be sensitive to ignorance. I once kissed a guy at an army base and almost got my teeth knocked in as a result. Well the forces started it.

My blasted willingness to go along with the friend-everyone-you-already-met phenomenon that is F***Book. F*c*b**k minimises the internet to the size of a mirror in an electric classifieds listing. This has the effect of user management visibility, and puts pressure on the bloodflow. And the cigarette cloud that tamed the grouch. Very little functionality in extra positive social movement comes from my experience with F*book and the times we live in. My god, we're locked inside with monster sloth ! A similar thing happened to me working at Staples Plc. WWB impressed me at the interview-that-was-a-competition, but the liberating feeling I got slowly dissolved to the attuned senses into F-book without all the flashing lights, the bolts and locks upon locks in ochorus and the bags of coal. (I'll get to that later) Wwb is So much quieter though, the staff appear (approachable.) Some contributors are, a week before comp close, making a dedicated effort. Zak and his Stimulate Your Mind Group, for example.

EDIT: I've just noticed today, that the WWB profile message boards appear to  anyone reading, like one side of a conversation ala the Facebook Wall (perhaps without dual functionality), or in the oldey days of telephones with crossed lines ! Will the social networking madness be made translateable ? As I told Richard, "The Tranquil Fox Jumped Over The Swift Streamer At Minus 22 Eno."

Ben informed me that WWB moved platform sometime within the first week of the testing. This explains the disruption to my ahreffing. Though WWB is so beta theres no user guide as of yet set up. Carrie knows a thing or two about tinkering the code. I'd spotted her ahrefed LinkedIn button further down the page, under the 'About Me' field, and moved all my code there. Ting !

Next time: Religious Fruit Imagery and a multiplicity of approaches works best, which is of course the thematic thread, and conclusion.
