Brookes BusPosted by Andrew Luke in participation, oxford, livejournal, humor, Environment, community, bus, brookes bus, brookes |
Recently I stumbled upon this little fantastic video commentary on the Brookes Bus. The first few minutes are too young, but bear with it as it’s a great example of student voicing and student film-making

My own opinions on the bus service are delight at the improvement in the last year, since I wrote some rather lengthy thoughts on the subject .
Most though not all of the bus drivers are quite pleasant: they still need to deal with not racing while people are getting to/from their seats.
Theres a bit Brookes itself could do. Better shelter provision at Harcourt Hill and other main satellite pick-ups would be nice. They don’t really circulate the information that with the Brookes Bus pass a fare on the Oxford Bus Company is exactly the same as it is with Stagecoach. Further, the remote Harcourt Campus can be reached by not just the U1. Taking a 4A Rose Hill - Oxford City - Elms Rise with the Oxford Bus Company, or via the Park and Ride Service will get you to a pleasant scene ten minutes walk from Harcourt.
