Land of the Pharoes

I have decided to visit Egypt before it's too late (for me).

I haven't had a holiday abroad for many years, and I decided to get a passport before the ID cards are mandatory.  Now I need to use it. Having seen several programmes about Egypt, and the great pyramid being the only surviving of the seven wonders of the ancient world, I think I ought to see it as I approach the seventh age of man (See "As You Like It" if you aren't sure of the seventh age.)

I have made an inquiry about a cruise up the Nile, and am waiting for it to be confirmed.

I will let you know of the result as soon  as I get it.

Hi Grahame

You should love it. Drifting down the Nile and stopping off at the ancient monuments is a fantastic and educational journey. I did it many years ago.

Just be careful of what you eat!
