About MePosted by Carolyn Kingsley |
I grew up on the space coast. My father's family were citrus pioneers. I was practically raised in a grove. I was the oldest of nine children. I'm now living in happy retirment in New Smyrna Beach. I'm the author of two novels. The Citrus Baron. It covers three generations of one Florida family. And Upon the Robin's Breast, a historical romance of old Charleston. Written while I was living in South Carolina. Recently an agent out west has shown some interest in the Citrus Baron. It took several months, but I converted the story into a screenplay. So I'm waiting to hear something on that. I understand from hearing from another author that it takes approximately seven years, from the time a screenplay is purchased, till it reaches the silver screen. Oh well - all I have on my hands is time.
I enjoy going to the movies (of course), walking on the beach, reading and sewing.
I'm now single and I like it that way.
