On December 4, 2008 Kayleigh Kepler 11 years old was invited to the National Tree Lighting Ceremony with one other 9 year old to Light the National Christmas Tree with President and Mrs Bush.  Kayleigh spent the evening sitting next to President Bush talking about her life, her father, her activities, and the things she hates about her sister.  Our whole family was blessed to go to the lighting ceremony, and meet the President and Mrs.  Bush.  And they were as kind and personable as they could be, one would think that they where my 4 year olds long lost grandparents.  It was a night to be remember by all, yet it some ways it feels to be a dream.  It could have only have been topped if my husband, Kayleigh's father (who was getting ready to deploy for the 2nd time) could have been there with us.  That would have made the night even more special, but not too much more it is a night that we look back at as if it were a dream now, and wonder did it really happen.  We only have the photographs to remember the night and then it feels real  again (almost).  We only have one wish from here to meet the Bushes again, and to thank them for how kind and comforting the were to our family.  Kayleigh hopes to thank them one day.  And I know that our whole family would like to.
