YOUR CONDITION IS NOT YOUR PORTION
And she said unto them, call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. Ruth 1:20
We humans will always find ourselves in tight situations. We will always find ourselves in the pit of problems, cycle of circumstance or even the corner of conditions. And no matter how good you are as a Christian you will experience a condition in your life. A condition that makes you doubt your faith and God. One that makes you cry, groan, and feel dejected. Conditions that make you murmur and sometimes complain. Things that you can’t configure or find the answer to. Afflictions and situations can be so painful that we have no option but to accept it. We tend to accept the ugly trend that comes with our situation.
People accept their pain or affliction for survival sake or rather to ease them of the hurt. We tend to wear the new clothe that comes with our new but bitter situation. Since I don’t have money now let me just accept the name broke/poor. Since am not feeling well today let me just accept the name sick. Since I did not make it yesterday let me just accept the name failure. We’re been forced to accept the condition we find ourselves in even though it’s unpleasant. A bad/negative change in our situation will always want us to take on the new name that comes with that situation. Naomi said to herself, since I have lost my husband, children, destiny, calling and possession, let me just accept bitterness. She mistook her condition for her portion. So many people through ignorance believe their condition is the way God wants it to be and so they don’t expect a change.
You must know therefore that no matter how tough, tensed, terrible, and tiring your situation may be, you should never accept it. Some people accept the pain in their bodies to be their pain, as if they bought it somewhere. But am sorry is not theirs. Is the devil that wants them to buy it. The enemy wants you to mistake your condition for your portion so he can trick you of what the lord has done. But you ought to be smart enough and tell him that he’s a liar. Tell him devil I know am not feeling too well today but sickness is not my portion. Tell him healing is the children’s bread and that’s my portion. Say to him I know I didn’t do too well, but am the head and not the tail nonetheless. I know I don’t have money but the lord is still my shepherd. That’s your portion. The bible says the lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. Psalms 16:5 refuse to allow your condition make you bitter or bankrupt. Your portion is in what the lord has done. Check it out and take it from your bible. Remain blessed!
