Insignificant days produce significant memories

I have had so many adventures and awesome memories of Autumn during my lifetime. Throughout my travels to many parts of the world, I have found this season to be welcomed everywhere,  so it is natural that what I write now are the auspicious and not so auspicious  moments during this time of year.

Searching for old friend

Looking for an old friend Rafi bin md Doon who used to live in  Johor Bahru.

He was in the Malaysian Navy and was based at HMAS Nirimba at Quakers Hill and left Australia on 1st october 1981.

Rafi birthday is 28th October, if anyone knows him could you tell him Dora is trying to contact him.

Nothing is ever easy - especially fencing

I have to put up a fence at home to finally achieve some privacy. Because I live in the boonies and the house is in a conservation area, I only got permission to erect a hurdle fence. Hurdle fences are either woven willow or woven hazel. They look very nice, last about 5 years (unless you treat them yourself) and can cost 4 times what a softwood fence would cost.

Grew up in Pinedale, California.  Moved to San Jose in 1960.  Attended Peter Burnett Jr. High, Lincoln High, Santa Clara High, and Camden High.  Also attended Fresno High. 

MISSING FRIENDS:  Sandy Rogers, best friend in Jr. High and part of high school.  Last seen in about 1969.
