'Name' Service Providers block receipt of emails from all UK University addresses

Microsoft, Comcast, Yahoo and BT are at the centre of a communications blockade to JANET, the research and education network  that provides the academic infrastructure to every university within the UK.

According to our source, email from university addresses has been blocked intermittently. At present, Brookes

I drew this in19.5 hours on a Saturday in October 2007. I'd planned to for a while, I didn't plan on it being orientated by my grandmother who passed away on the Thursday after a long and painful illness. It'll be reprinted in full on WikiWorldBooks over the next four days.

My pal Jennie B has been thinking about the  governments fast track teacher training proposals.

And I can't come up with a title like that.

I'm planning on launching my new 144 page mini comic graphic novel at LUC's eagerly anticipated 176 event on 27th June. Its going to be a good day: free tea and coffee for all, bring your own wine, and about 50 tables of comics with song and dance. And ringleader and Dr. Who scribe Oli Smith incurring all manner of legal charges for filming people!

Don't Get Lost has been a number of years in the

Charlie Brooker paints figures from lots of perspectives. Maybe you've seen him on the telly. In his Guardian lense yesterday, Gordon Brownbum and the returning of vitriol.

Also, Frank Fisher boots Andy Burnham out of the chat room: worthwhile (Dec 29, 2008)

Dr Mel Gibson is quite good about getting comics into school libraries, and has waxed academic about them too. More here..

A few months ago I was posting in various places about pensioners suffering verbal and physical abuse at the hands of UK officials at Calais . Short story:  No laws broken, no guidelines interfered with, search and seizure, interrogation tactics contravening international human rights. I had a coachside seat and managed to take it all down and interviews with the traumatised. It made me some good

Hi Everyone,

I'm off to Egypt in September for a cruise along the Nile.  I was kindly sent a travel book about Nile Cruises by Mel, and have been reading it. I also watched a schools programme about Arabic, so I am getting prepared.

Any tips from previous Nile cruisers will be most welcome.

Salaam!
