This Is Just A Question

When I receive a search alert, how do I find out who it is or make contact?

Hi Jill

The Search Alert system is not able to tell you exactly who searched you - however it might give you some very good clues.

For instance, if the person Googles you from a business or an organization, there is a very high probability that we will be able to provide you with the name of that business or organization, along with its geographical location.

If you are Googled by someone from their private house, the chances are we will only be able to provide you with their geographical location, which is derived from their IP address. Sometimes these locations are precise and other times not - it depends on the country and the service provider.

I hope that helps.
