About Me

A professional Fire Chief, College Professor, and Grant Writer/Manager with an MBA, BS, and graduate of National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program. Over $10 million in successfull grants and donations have helped non-profits, volunteer fire departments, and fire districts. Certified Fire Officer I & II; Fire Instructor I, II, & III; Fire Prevention Officer I; Fire Investigator I; Hazardous Materials Incident Commander; Specialist; Instructor; and Technician. An extensive background in Insurance Services Office (ISO) and Department of Defense (DOD) Fire Protection Surveys has allowed numerous fire departments and communities to reduce their ISO/PPC Ratings, resulting in millions of dollars in insurance premium savings. Wayne's largest ISO improvement involved the community of North Kingman, AZ with a reduction from an ISO Class 9 to an ISO Class 3 in an area without fire hydrants thanks to an innovative water shuttle program. A similar reduction was achieved in Twentynine Palms, CA with a reduction from an ISO Class 9 to an ISO Class 4. Published author in industry journals and internet articles.
