Looks old and is high-tech? I love it! A passion for the process of search and discovery, especially of the past has been a constant theme in my life--as a journalist, as an academic, and finally as an information industry professional. For many years, I have been interested in the marriage of technology and history, and particularly in how technology can help people rediscover the past in new ways. This has led to opportunities to serve on and lead panels on digital scholarship in both the academic and publishing worlds. I also teach a Humanities course at the Columbus State Community College. I have equal passion for working with development teams to build new or improve existing products that facilitate discovery and learning. My lifelong goal has been to move back and forth between the educational and publishing worlds in order to create the products that faculty, staff and students use, learn with --and love.
