Mezzo-Soprano, Carmen, Dresden Semperoper, Cairo Opera House
Mezzo-soprano Gala El Hadidi became a Soloist at The Cairo Opera House at the age of 18. in 2010/2011 she joined the Saxony State Opera the famous »Semperoper« in Dresden, Germany. She obtained a B.A. in Philosophy (2005), M.A. in English and Comparative Literature (2007) and M.M. in Opera Performance (2010) from Yale University, USA. El Hadidi received a scholarship to attend the Internationale Bach Academie in Stuttgart/Germany in 2005. She has won several prizes in French and German competitions such as “Jugend musiziert.” In May 2009, El Hadidi made her debut at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage as a participant of the Conservatory Project, in Washington D.C. (USA) and In 2010, she became the New England Finalist at The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions for 2009 & 2010 receiving an Encouragement Award.
