I currently run a consultancy service (Enmax Limited) for companies seeking advice on engineering materials. At present, I am employed as Materials Engineer on the High Active Nuclear Waste Evaporator Project and also carry out ad hoc work for other projects concerning nuclear transport, the oil and gas sector, and waste to energy. Until March 2006 my role was Senior Materials Engineer in Sellafield Limited (formerly British Nuclear Fuels Limited) leading a team of materials, fabrication and non-destructive testing engineers. I had held this post since 1986 and for the 6 years prior to that I was an Inspection and Progress Engineer on engineering materials sourced in the UK and abroad for major BNFL projects. Prior to British Nuclear Fuels Limited, I was employed by British Steel on Research and Development projects and Plant and Process Investigation work.
