About Me

Jeffrey B. Bernstein is a security industry executive that has spent the last 10 + years in leadership roles within organizations dedicated to the protection of clients' sensitive data and electronic infrastructure. Jeff currently holds the position of Vice President for Critical Defence, LLC. Critical Defence is a leading provider of security assurance, response and intelligence services. The firm operates within the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European Union. Prior to co-founding Critical Defence, Jeff held the role of Senior Director of Information Assurance for ASERO Worldwide, a global provider of homeland security, counter-terror and critical infrastructure protection services. The firm, headed by former Director level participants from the United States Secret Service (USSS), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) is based in Washington, DC. During his tenure with ASERO, Jeff launched and held top-level responsibility for the ASERO Worldwide Information Assurance program. Prior to joining ASERO, Jeff led several early stage solutions providers into positions of market dominance. Jeff holds numerous security and technology platform specific certifications. He has written several information security white papers and has been published often both domestically and abroad. Jeff is also an accomplished speaker who regularly presents at security industry conferences and events. In 2009, Jeff appeared as a Special Guest Lecturer for a Masters Studies class at New York University. Mr. Bernstein’s breadth of expertise includes competencies in cyber-security risk management, national infrastructure protection planning, cyber-warfare, critical infrastructure protection, incident response and forensics, legal and regulatory compliance, mobile application security, security awareness, intrusion detection and prevention, authentication, biometrics and intelligence gathering.
